Iryna Pronenko

My name is Iryna Pronenko, I am a career consultant based in Zagreb (Croatia).

I have 10 years of experience in human resources management: manufacturing, medicine, sales, service, HR consulting, and the public sector. For the past 4 years, I have worked in a public organization in Croatia, where I helped over 700 Ukrainians find jobs abroad.

I have rebuilt my career from scratch twice — in 2014 and in 2022. I was internally displaced within my country and held refugee status abroad. Therefore, I understand how difficult it is not only to find a job but also to maintain or restore your professional status.

People come to me who:

• have just left or are planning to leave and do not know where to start looking for a job abroad;
• feel a "reset": at home they had a name and career, but here, due to the language barrier, they feel like a child;
• are torn between survival and ambitions: they need to earn money right now, but are afraid of being stuck forever in low-skilled jobs;
• send resumes, receive no responses, and start thinking that "something is wrong with me."

What I help with:

• creating a resume from scratch or revising an existing one — in Ukrainian, English, Croatian;
• setting up a LinkedIn profile that foreign recruiters find;
• developing a job search strategy abroad: where exactly to look for you, lists of target employers, access to hidden vacancies;
• cover letters: tailored to specific vacancies and templates;
• interview preparation;
• career direction change.

Additionally, I work as a translator at business meetings and events (Croatian/Ukrainian languages), and collaborate as a translator with the Office for Human Rights in Croatia.

I am not an employment agency and do not look for jobs on your behalf. Instead, I provide you with tools and a system for job searching abroad so that you can regain your strength.

I consult in Ukrainian and Russian, online. I live in Zagreb, so I am well acquainted with the Croatian labor market, but I work with clients all over Europe.
